In my opinion, individuals, like a company, must have a lifestyle of social responsibility.
And with the upcoming holiday break due to Lenten observation in the Philippines, I am taking this opportunity to return something to the corporate community by conducting a series of FREE learning sessions about “Spiritual Intelligence“. This will only take about 1-2 hours and 6 slots were allotted, 2 each from Monday to Wednesday [March 29-31,2010].
As of this writing though, of the 6 slots, 3 has been taken and a fourth company is finalizing it’s schedule. Surprisingly, scores of individuals are also asking if they can join any of the available sessions. On a different schedule, we may hold similar session for individual participants if the companies can not accommodate them.
Please forward this invitation to interested companies or you may ask them to leave a message in this PAGE.
Look up and be filled =D

Thus, I find this news blogworthy, since Filipinos find Malls as their # 1 hang out place. Responsible businessmen will ensure the health and safety of the people.

I have been blogging about HR Roles in the past days– on termination related errors, new HR roles, the irony (if not comedy) of being employee champions. I would like to add a new one having been privileged to be part of ECOPs (Employers Confederation of the Philippines) and ILOs (International Labor Organization) advocacy on CSR or Corporate Social Responsibility.
Though CSR is the primary responsibility of the investors, an emerging new role of HR in the Philippines and developing countries could be in the making– to be in the forefront of advocating CSR or Corporate Social Responsibility.

The Employers Confederation Of The Philippines (ECOP) and German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) recently partnered thru a memorandum of agreement to raise the awareness level on Social Accountability in the Philippine Companies. Although ECOP is taking the lead, other stakeholders from the labor sector, government and civil society organizations will also play a major role in this endeavor. One of the first steps ECOP did was to commission a study that will identify and analyze, in a larger scale, the state of social compliance among Philippine enterprises. A professor from UP SOLAIR, Dr. Maragtas Amante, with assistance from ECOP Research and Advocacy Department, comprise the team which conducted the study…
