JESUS Freak is the title of my time line or profile page in Plurk. But I thought “why not start a blog about it?”
I came to use that phrase extensively after I read a discussion in a social media thread describing Christians as Jesus Freaks, of course, not as a compliment. Furthermore, one social media user dedicated a thread to express her anger towards this blogger because of my faith and the stand I made about pre-marriage sex.
I came a long way and received so much blessings since I became a Christian 20 years ago. Thank God to YWAM ministers who never gave up on me. Thank God also to the Love Flock Ministries and El Shaddai, who became instrumental as well in my salvation courtesy of their Life in the Spirit Seminar (LSS). Since 1989, I am part of Cathedral of Praise, one of the largest Christian church in the world, located at Taft Ave, Manila.
Generally, Christians remain silent in the midst of criticism. Majority also were silent about their faith. It fascinates me how atheists openly declare their non belief, and I admire them for being proud of their choice and stand.
This blog is not meant to malign other beliefs, but will discuss openly why I chose to believe in God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This blog is not intended either to give the blogger moral ascendancy over the rest. All the blogger wants is to share the grace he received from the Lord.
Admittedly, I am a “Jesus Freak”, but I am not ashamed of it.

Your soul is already reaching out to your Creator, looking for salvation, peace and rest.
I wish I could pray for you in person, for the meantime please do the following:
1. Go somewhere private, i.e. your own room
2. Get on your knees and pray and follow this simple prayer: “Lord JESUS, I come before you in humility and tired and weary. Please help me. Forgive me for my sins and indiscretion, change me. I humbly request that you become my personal Lord and savior”
3. In your own words, tell God how much you need him and his help, share with him your situation. Believe me, God is there to listed to you.
4. Start reading the Bible, you can start in Proverbs, or Gospel of John. Get a good english version, New International Version or New Century Version will do. Online Bible is available here: http://www.biblegateway.com/
I will pray for you, but don’t hesitate to approach Him yourself, He will not turn you away.
